This policy explains how The VoRexx (also written “VoRex”; “we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal information when you visit www.vorex.info, ask us for a quotation, apply for a job or otherwise contact us. We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Information we collect
When you request a quotation
Your name, company, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in and anything you write in your message.
When you apply for a job
Your name, email address, phone number, the role you are applying for, your experience, your message and any CV or documents you send us. If we move forward with your application we will also collect the information needed for right-to-work checks and, for security roles, to confirm your SIA licence.
When you contact us in other ways
The details you give us when you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, and a record of our conversation.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested and when. This is used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use analytics or advertising tracking on this website.
3. How we use your information and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation — because you asked us to, as a step before entering into a contract, and in our legitimate interest in responding to potential clients.
- To provide our services and manage our contract with you — to perform our contract with you.
- To assess job applications and recruit staff — as a step before entering into an employment contract, in our legitimate interest in hiring suitable people, and to meet legal obligations such as right-to-work and SIA licensing checks.
- To keep records, handle complaints and meet legal and tax requirements — to comply with our legal obligations and in our legitimate interests.
- To keep the website secure and working — in our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it. We will only send you marketing if you have agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We only share personal information where it is needed, with:
- EmailJS, which delivers the website's quote and job application forms to our inbox. If direct delivery is unavailable, the form opens your own email app instead.
- Our email provider, which stores the messages we send and receive.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
- Google, when the map on our Contact page loads. See section 7.
- Professional advisers (such as accountants, lawyers and insurers), and the police, regulators or other authorities where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Some of the service providers above may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by a UK adequacy decision or by approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 12 months.
- Client records, contracts and invoices: for 6 years after the contract ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.
- Unsuccessful job applications: up to 6 months after the role is filled.
- Staff records: for the periods required by employment, tax and licensing law.
After these periods the information is securely deleted.
7. Cookies
This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The Google Map on our Contact page is provided by Google, which may set cookies or collect your IP address when the map loads. You can find out more in Google's privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information;
- object to us using your information based on legitimate interests;
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

9. Keeping your information safe
We limit access to personal information to the people who need it, use secure services to store it, and take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
